    Woodstock is also located in close proximity to the 12,000-acre Lake Allatoona, where 270 miles of lakefront shoreline and 25,000 acres of public land provide residents with ample recreational opportunities.  Over a dozen dedicated park areas offer facilities such as playgrounds, picnic areas, swimming beaches, and boat ramps.  Ten different campgrounds offer a mix of activities and services from playgrounds, swimming areas, group camping areas, and cabins that all kinds of campers can enjoy.  There are also several marinas, boat slips, and storage facilities that are able to serve any boating-related needs.
